Mauricio Palos book My Perro Rano is featured in this month British Journal of Photography @1854. He speaks about the beginnings of the project as well as the different forms of publications.

In 63 photographs taken over the last five years, Pablo López Luz presents an assortment of landscapes that include images of Mexico City, Tijuana, Acapulco, and Chiapas, as well as a series of photos taken in Hong Kong. Most of these photographs are bird’s-eye views, landscapes and cityscapes which propose a vision of reality as a stage.
Presented and distributed by Editorial RM, the book was designed by the noted French graphic designer Olivier Andreotti and published under the supervision of Alexis Fabri. Andreotti and Fabri are the founding partners of Toluca Éditions. The book includes two texts in both Spanish and English, the first by Horacio Fernández, the eminent Spanish historian, critic, and curator, and the second by Itzel Vargas, currently the director of the Museo de Bellas Artes and a curator of contemporary art exhibitions.

Thousands in Mexico City March Against Drug War.
Im working in a project about the political, economical and social impact that is taking place in Mexico due to the war between carteles de la droga and the Mexican government… I’ve photographed politics, violence, Mexican army, and a little bit of the wealthy side in this country. This Sunday I went to photograph the thousands of Mexicans that march against the drug war. I don’t know where this project will take me… but I am sure that this is like no other period in the recent history of this country. It was quite different the feeling from other demonstrations, is very common that photographers and journalists are harassed by the demonstrators, this time was not like this, everybody walked proud and happy to be part of this.
